Abstract: The development of sustainable models in the real estate sector increasingly highlights the role of facility services as a key factor for long-term value creation. In this context, the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards is emerging as a fundamental mechanism for effective and responsible management of business buildings under the conditions of Industry 5.0. This article examines the growing importance of professional cleaning as an integral component of facility management with direct influence on the environmental, social, and governance performance of buildings. The study adopts a conceptual and analytical approach, combining the systematization of existing theoretical frameworks with a comparative analysis of traditional and sustainabilityoriented practices in the sector. The results indicate that ESG integration in professional cleaning leads to measurable improvements in resource efficiency, working conditions, and the overall value of business buildings as investment assets. At the same time, key challenges related to the implementation of sustainable practices are identified, emphasizing the need for a systemic and long-term approach. The main contribution of the study lies in linking ESG standards, facility management, and the professional cleaning sector, positioning cleaning as a strategic interface between sustainability objectives and their operational implementation in business buildings.
