Abstract: This article describes the "intelligent building" as a set of systems and technologies focusing over creation of a highly efficient, economical and effective environment. In order to be done all these process, it is necessary to integrate the main building systems into a single infrastructure and to interact on the basis of a single data transmission environment.
Complete automated building system includes many elements – from proper lighting control and access to modern heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. A basic standardized protocol is used in order to facilitate communication between systems. Its function is to introduce a single communication from the management system to the executive elements. This facilitates the installation, maintenance and future upgrades of the building management system (BMS).
