Daniela Tzvetkova

Abstract: This article examines the manifestations and significance of intrapreneurship within the professional activities of real estate brokers. Drawing on a review of the relevant theoretical literature and an analysis of the rolespecific characteristics of brokers, it argues that they often function as intrapreneurs—exhibiting high levels of autonomy, initiative, and innovation orientation. The study identifies both enabling and constraining factors influencing intrapreneurial behavior in real estate agencies, including organizational culture, management structures, and incentive systems. Based on theoretical insights and the author’s professional expertise, the article proposes practical recommendations and policy measures to foster intrapreneurial behavior among brokers. Key components of such behavior include proactive client acquisition, risk-taking, adoption of digital technologies, and the development of innovative services. The analysis demonstrates that, despite operating within established organizational frameworks, brokers frequently display entrepreneurial traits. The findings underscore that encouraging intrapreneurship not only enhances the competitiveness and innovation capacity of real estate agencies but also contributes to greater professional satisfaction and engagement among brokers
