Abstract: The construction sector is one of the structure determinants of any economy. Leading analysts, major investors and real estate appraisers monitor its dynamics in order to predict how the national economy in general and the real estate market in particular will develop. The purpose of this article is to analyze the dynamics of the primary residential real estate market in our country over the last 16 years (from 2007 to 2022 inclusive). This segment of the real estate market is one of the most frequently discussed and analyzed by researchers because it sets the trends for the development of the entire market and a large part of the construction industry. The study is focused on the dynamics in the official data for several key indicators of the Construction sector – building permits issued, new construction started and new residential buildings commissioned.
