Abstract: Insurance has a specific role in a person's life, enabling him to live a more peaceful life. Protecting people's health and property allows them to concentrate their efforts in another direction. The main purpose of this article is to analyze real estate insurance in Bulgaria for the period 2017-2019 by certain indicators - gross premium income, market share and gross benefits paid. The insurances "Fire and natural disasters" and "Damages to property" are considered in more detail. Based on this, some basic conclusions have been drawn.
