Abstract: The article examines the state and development of the housing sector in Russia in modern conditions. It was noted that the housing sector still does not meet the level of requirements. The situation in the primary, secondary and suburban real estate markets is considered, where sales priorities are noted, according to which many, in the current situation, prefer to purchase a comfortable country house that provides the possibility of permanent residence, and from the spring months the trend of acquiring summer cottages and renting this type of real estate will continue. The authors describe the government's activities aimed at reviving the real estate market, including preferential mortgages at 6.5% per annum.
